Lip Blush Tattoo
Great for: Client with uneven-toned lips, neutralizing dark lips, lack of color, wanting a natural tint.
Lips are unique because they’re already naturally pigmented, often with varying shades or undertones. So we’ll work together to land on a color choice that matches your vision and avoids discoloration.

Perfect for your preferred lip stain, neutralization, expanding lip line and perfect pout.
Lip Blush Pre-Care
-
Lip fillers: Wait 4 weeks after filler before getting lip blush, so swelling has settled completely.
Botox in or around the lips: Please wait 2 weeks.
Cold sores: Lip tattooing can trigger a cold sore outbreak, even if you haven't had one in years. If you've ever had one, let us know when you book. Your doctor can advise whether a preventive antiviral is right for you, and we'll need to know before your appointment. We can't tattoo over an active cold sore.
Sun and irritation: Avoid sunburn, tanning, or aggressive treatments (peels, lasers, waxing) around the mouth.
-
Avoid blood-thinning substances for 24 hours when you can: alcohol, excess caffeine, and aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, or vitamin E supplements. Don't stop any prescribed medication without talking to your doctor.
Gently exfoliate and keep your lips hydrated. Healthy, smooth lips take pigment more evenly.
-
Come with a clean face, free of lipstick or lip products.
Eat beforehand and stay hydrated.
Bring reference photos of the color or look you like.
During your appointment..
During your consultation, we’ll discuss lip shape, pigment options, and what you’re looking for.
To create your desired lip shape, we work with what you’ve got! Using your existing lip tissue and natural volume. We don’t recommend over lining but if you want really voluminous lips, we take the utmost care by exposing all the lip tissue.
Then, we’ll talk about aftercare so your lips are given the TLC they need after your treatment.
Lips with scarring, sun damage, very cool undertones, or multi-toned may need additional sessions to achieve the desired results.
Feel free to reach out before booking for a consultation if you have any concerns about your lips or anything that could affect the results.
After your appointment, your lips might experience swelling for up to 48 hours.
Lip Neutralization for Dark or Uneven Lips
If your lips have a darker, bluish, purple, or grayish tone, a lip blush tint applied directly over them can turn out muddy or look different from the color you picked. That's where lip neutralization comes in.
Neutralization is a corrective step that uses pigments chosen to cancel out the cool or dark tones in your lips. This creates a more even, balanced base. Once that base is in place, we can build the lip color you actually want, whether that's a soft rosy tint or a warm nude.
Lip neutralization is a good fit if you have:
Naturally dark or uneven lip tone
Pigmentation from sun exposure, past irritation, or lifestyle factors
Lips that look gray, purple, or blue-toned
A previous lip tattoo that healed in an unwanted color
What to expect:
Neutralization often takes more than one session, because darker lips can need extra layers to correct. We'll talk through a realistic plan at your consultation. Typically it takes 2 sessions but can need an extra one.
Your lips may look different while healing than they will at the end. Final color settles in after about 4–6 weeks.
Results depend on your starting tone, skin, and how your lips heal, so we're always honest about what's possible for you.
Please reschedule if you have an active cold sore, a lip infection, a sunburn, or a cold or illness. For aftercare, see our Care page.
